VEGETARIAN

                                                                                                                                     - jg

VEGETARIAN

If you look at the world map of the percentage of vegetarians in the population of a country, it shows that the percentage varies from 0.3 to 40 per cent. (from vegetarians by country – Google).

Those “who are inclined towards such a diet” form a much higher portion of the population.
There is plenty of information about how to be a vegetarian.
Note that “vegans” comprise a fair percentage of these people.

This page is simply a short reference for some of the sources of information about the topic………..

“Raw for Thirty” would have to be one of the best sources – find it here:
http://www.rawfor30days.com/cmd.php?af=1495222   (If you want to see a photo of a feast table spread with vegetarian goodies, & food – check out their ‘boot camp’ video……….) You would have to go a long way to see a better feast……

This site and the following sites are advertisements for products/services - that I hope you find interesting enough to visit & purchase from.......
Sales, of course, usually pay commissions.......
The information for each site is taken from that site.

The question of Vitamin B12 for Vegetarians is a good question -
These comments by  Robert J. Rowen, MD   are vital:
" As you may know, I'm a big advocate of the Living Foods Diet. But I'll admit that this diet has one major problem. In fact, it's a big problem for any largely vegetarian diet. That problem is the availability of vitamin B12.

You see, plants have a molecule that looks like vitamin B12, but it's actually an "analogue." That means it's not truly identical to active vitamin B12. So for vegetarians, you must have a good source of true B12.

A recent report found that the Korean seaweed purple laver contains substantial active vitamin B12.

A second study found that there is active vitamin B12 in white button mushrooms, presumably from bacteria in the soils in which they grow.

Vitamin B12 is so important that if I even think it's deficient in any patient, I usually give an injection. That includes meat eaters. Why? Because B12 is hard to absorb, especially as we age and produce less acid in our stomachs. Here are two plant products that may offer high absorption at a pH of 2.0, which is easy for you to achieve.

I do get my vitamin B12 tested periodically. I am well within the reference range, but admittedly on the lower side. While I eat seaweed, I'm now eating more of the purple laver, as its molecules are true vitamin B12 and not inactive "analogues." If you eat the Living Foods Diet or a largely vegetarian diet, you can find purple laver in many Asian markets."

Books on the subject include:

Even a search about a culture that promotes vegetarianism can be informative…….
(And, as I inferred before – search for  “vegan”  ideas….)
Being a vegetarian has many incredible benefits……..all the best with your search……..

One area for research concerns prions. (Those who really understand what they are, and where they come from, usually end up becoming vegans!!!). A definition: ..." Prions are unprecedented infectious pathogens that cause a group of invariably fatal neurodegenerative diseases". (from prions - Google)  Discovered after searching why cannibals died. Look it up on the net...... (a link is above)

A really good reason to be a vegetarian!!!

And if not a total vegan - to restrict meat to the old classic of "clean meat".

A very interesting area for research. So much to learn... The ability to make choices....wonderful!!

                                         <><><><><><><><><><><><>

You probably read this on some sort of computing device:
Such things need maintenance.  There is a totally inappropriate sexist joke, in some quarters, about a little old 'person'' who wondered why the car would not go. When asked about when maintenance was last done - "What is that?"    .......yes......              .............................................

Personal experience:
Yes, I lost my most precious photos. Because I did not have them copied, or backed up.
I now have them, (what I have left!!), copied, and backed up - I used:

Please back-up your precious documents - don't loose them, like I did.
And, please tell a friend - may save their .........
(The way it happened, wasn't even someone hacking! Some computer "tech" was eliminating some old files from my computer - to help it run faster....... Bingo!!..... Photos gone!!!)

Concerning hacking.....
Did you know that there are now more than 220,000 new attempts to interfere with computers, created every day. Most are destroyed pretty quickly. BUT>>>>>>>>>    NOT all of them..........
Made me rethink my computer protection.
It is now, not a question of "ïf" they will take out my computer, it is a question of "when".........

So, I now use, and I recommend for you:
